Choosing a Local Plumber
I’m trying to figure out how people around here actually pick a good plumber. Last month I had a small leak under the kitchen sink and rushed to call the first number I found online. The guy fixed it, but the bill felt way higher than expected and I wasn’t even sure what I was paying for. Now I’ve got an older house and I know more stuff will come up sooner or later, so I’d rather do it right next time. Curious how locals usually decide who’s trustworthy and who to avoid.

I’ve been through that a couple of times, especially after moving into our place near the river. What helped me was slowing down and checking a few local listings instead of random ads. I like seeing multiple plumbers in one place, reading real reviews, and checking what services they actually offer. I found my current go-to by browsing Plumbers in Campbell River, BC and then calling a couple to see how they explained things over the phone. The one who took time to answer questions and gave a rough price range upfront ended up being the most reliable.
