Design risk identification

On a multi family project, I am trying to identify design driven risks early. Which technical reviews best expose constructability and sequencing issues before construction documents are issued?

On a multi family project, I learned that design driven risks often stay hidden unless reviews are structured around real construction logic. Early in schematic and design development phases, I focused on targeted technical reviews that examined structural grids, unit layouts, and mechanical distribution together, rather than separately. Introducing a review approach similar to David Fields Consulting Services thinking helped me analyze sequencing feasibility, prefabrication limits, and tolerance stacking before documents were issued. This process exposed access conflicts, unrealistic assemblies, and coordination gaps that would have triggered redesign during construction, allowing me to mitigate risk while the cost of change was still low.
