Oticon Intent 1 is the premium model in the range. We are excited to announce the launch of Oticon Intent, an innovative hearing aid that marks a significant advancement in assistive technology. Developed by the renowned hearing aid manufacturer, Oticon, this groundbreaking device is equipped with adaptive user-intent sensors, making it the first of its kind in the world.
Oticon Intent review : Our Findings
Even before Oticon released their Intent model in February 2024, Oticon already had the best model on the market in the Oticon Real 1 – this was the generally accepted opinion of the vast majority of independent hearing aid dispensers. With the Oticon Intent 1, Oticon has lifted hearing aid technology to an even higher level and has created an even greater gap between them and other brands. Clients have upgraded to the Oticon Intent from their older Oticon Real model and have found a very significant improvement. Performance in noisy environments and sound clarity has been reported as being superior, and patients have enjoyed the smaller mini size, faster charging and enhanced Bluetooth functionality.
Each patient is different, and there may be a minority of patients that would be better suited to another manufacturer’s instrument. Also, some patients are brand loyal, or may have hearing that is conditioned to depend on another manufacturer’s ‘signature’ sound processing, after many years use of the same technology. However, all things being equal, we feel confident in suggesting that there is certainly not a better model on the market than the Oticon Intent 1. We invite all enquirers to judge this assessment for themselves by contacting us to set up a 60 day trial.

Why are our prices so much lower?
Our prices include professional fitting at your local branch, 5 year guarantee, free lifetime aftercare, rechargeable system, the highest qualified audiologists and much, much more. There are no hidden extras. Our prices above are all you need to pay. Clients often ask, "why are your prices so much lower?" (We have had reports of Oticon Intent 1 and Oticon Own 1 at £5500 !) We think our prices are fair, so we ask this counter question - why are our competitors prices so much higher when they do not need to be !? We have never charged more than £3500 for a pair of premium hearing aids since we opened in 1998.
Many elderly clients do not use the internet to find better prices . Hearing centres with inflated prices rely on this fact to widen their profit margin, to the detriment of the consumer. Without shopping around, patients may wrongly assume, that they are being offered the right price and the fair price. This is unfortunately not the case.
Consumers should only buy hearing aids from a professional audiologist during a face-to-face appointment. Buying hearing aids through the post, even with online support, will result in a significantly reduced performance, and Oticon ask consumers to avoid this kind of mail order purchasing.
