Phonak EON R E30 is the Essential model in the EON R range. It is designed for people whose listening needs are mainly in quieter, familiar or more predictable situations and who want rechargeable hearing aids with automatic everyday adjustment and modern connectivity at a lower price. It keeps the core EON platform, AutoSense OS AI 8.0, WindBlock 2.0, UltraZoom and the same wireless connections as the higher EON R levels. Compared with E50, however, it has fewer automatic listening programmes, 12 rather than 16 fine-tuning channels, and no Motion Sensor Hearing or SoundRelax.

Phonak EON R E30 is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid designed for mild to profound hearing loss, depending on the receiver and acoustic fitting selected by your audiologist. It uses Phonak's EON platform and AutoSense OS AI 8.0 to respond automatically as your surroundings change. At the Essential level, the automatic system covers Calm Situation, Speech in Noise and the two media streaming programmes. Your audiologist can also set up to four additional programmes from the options available at E30, allowing the hearing aids to be tailored around the situations that matter most to you. The EON Platform and AutoSense OS AI 8.0 AutoSense OS AI 8.0 The hearing aids analyse the sound around you and automatically adjust between the core E30 listening situations, helping you move through familiar parts of the day without having to keep changing the settings yourself. Essential everyday processing E30 includes UltraZoom to help focus towards a speaker in front, WindBlock 2.0 to reduce disruptive wind noise and core features such as NoiseBlock, WhistleBlock and SoundRecover2. It does not include the more advanced speech-focusing and movement-based tools found in the higher EON R levels.
What Makes EON R E30 Different?
Simple automatic support for everyday routines AutoSense OS AI 8.0 automatically covers calm situations, speech in noise and media streaming. This makes E30 a practical choice when most conversations happen at home, one to one or in other familiar surroundings. Extra programmes when they are useful Your audiologist can add up to four manually selected programmes. Available E30 options include Comfort in Noise, Music, Acoustic Phone and a Custom programme, so the fitting can be shaped around your routine without paying for the broader automatic system in the higher levels. Help with front-facing speech and wind UltraZoom helps focus towards the person in front of you when surrounding sound makes conversation harder to follow. WindBlock 2.0 helps reduce wind noise during time outdoors. Modern connections at the Essential level E30 keeps the EON range's wireless connectivity, including direct calls and audio streaming, Auracast broadcast audio, the myPhonak app and RogerDirect. Tap Control can also be used for selected phone, streaming and voice-assistant actions.
Connectivity, Rechargeability and Everyday Use
Phonak EON R uses Bluetooth Classic Audio for direct calls and audio streaming, plus Bluetooth LE Audio for Auracast broadcast audio in compatible public and shared spaces. It works with the myPhonak app and supports Phonak Roger wireless microphones through RogerDirect. It is also compatible with selected Phonak wireless accessories, including the TV Connector, PartnerMic and RemoteControl. Device and accessory compatibility should always be checked before purchase. The official data sheet lists 29 hours of expected rechargeable use and up to 38 hours maximum. Actual use depends on the hearing loss, receiver, activated features, streaming, accessories, battery age and individual listening environment. Across the EON R range, E30 includes WindBlock 2.0, eight colour choices, EasyGuard dome options and ActiveVent compatibility where clinically suitable. These are shared EON features and should not be presented as reasons to choose a higher performance level. The IP68-rated housing is water and dust resistant, but the hearing aids are not waterproof.
